Happy New Year: 2017

Hello friends, fans and family! Thank you all for sticking with Youngsville these past few years. We GREATLY appreciate your love and support. Without you all being there, it would be impossible to continue as we have.

This year brings a lot of changes. After our successful “Reunion” show in Albuquerque ended, so ended the classic Youngsville line-up. Mickey, Ryan and Cody are all taking their leave for various reasons (mostly geographical) to continue being awesome humans. I know they are going off to do great things and I’m excited to see it unfold. I love those guys and couldn’t have been happier with the time we’ve spent playing together. The door will always be open to work together again.

The future is bright for the band, however. With the addition of fresh blood in the form of drummer, Sean Vajgrt, and bassist, Ray Sanchez, Youngsville has begun a new chapter. With daily rehearsal, Youngsville will be embarking on a summer tour across Texas. Keep an eye out for us coming to your city or town. Dates will be announced shortly.

In addition to the tour, we will also be releasing a “B-side” album. The album will cover songs recorded between the years of 2012-2016. The songs will feature performances from members and special guests that Youngsville has had the pleasure of working with through the years. Also, some of you might remember my “Carlos the Tall” ep… a few of those songs were re-recorded during album sessions and will be making their official debut on iTunes, Spotify, etc in 2017. I hope you all enjoy the surprises we have for you on the new album.

I also wanted to let you all know about something special I have planned for the new year. Every week I will be posting demos in video form for exclusively new songs. I will have different themes (probably monthly) and will occasionally have guest musicians accompanying me as well. It will be a big challenge, but I welcome it.

As with any year, there will be much more happening than I have planned. I’ll do my best to keep you all informed on what’s new and exciting. I look forward to seeing you in 2017 and beyond.

A lot of love and gratitude,

-Carlos J.R. Garcia (Carlos “The Tall”)
